Christopher Metcalf is a writer; always has been. He is the author of 6 books in the Lance Priest "Preacher" series. He has also published Barkley's Sandbar Christmas Miracle, a children's book featuring an enormous black and white spotted Great Dane.

He is a Solution Engineer for Benefitfocus, a leading cloud-based benefits and healthcare technology company. Chris also operates Metcalf PR & Marketing, a niche freelance/contract firm specializing in the areas of healthcare marketing, writing/content development and small business public relations and marketing

His professional career includes serving as Marketing and Communication Director for Benefit Informatics, Director of Community Relations for St. John Health System where he oversaw and managed a department responsible for coordinating public relations, marketing, advertising and more, much more. Chris was the Director of Community Relations for the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) in Tulsa and Oklahoma City and Communications Director for the Metro Tulsa Chamber of Commerce.

He is the inventor of the Ball Hawk sports ball holder and partner with his brother Mike in Ball Hawk, LLC.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tulsa and Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University. 

He is former board member of the Jenks Chamber of Commerce, was the 2006 - 07 President of Leadership Tulsa, is a member of the Tulsa Area Parents Legislative Action Committee, a former member of the Jenks Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors and former president and Board member of the Public Relations Society of America-Tulsa Chapter.
